Purity Guarantee

Independently assay any lot we ship. If the result falls below the published certificate figure by more than the stated method tolerance, we refund or replace it.

The commitment

Every lot AVYN releases carries a published certificate stating an assayed purity figure and the method used to obtain it. If you independently assay the same lot and the result falls below that figure by more than the tolerance set out below, we will refund the item price or replace the material, at your choice.

This applies to the specific lot number printed on your vial, not to the product line generally.

Method tolerance

Reverse-phase HPLC purity is not a single objective number — it depends on column chemistry, gradient, wavelength, integration parameters and how impurity shoulders are resolved. Two competent laboratories running the same sample will not report identical figures.

We therefore accept a tolerance of 1.0 percentage point for compounds released at 214 nm, and 1.5 percentage points for short-chain compounds released at 205–210 nm with ion pairing, where method sensitivity is inherently lower. A result more than that below the certificate figure triggers the guarantee.

What we need from you

  • The lot number from the vial label.
  • A copy of the independent laboratory report, including the chromatogram.
  • The method conditions used — column, mobile phase, gradient, detection wavelength and integration settings.
  • The name of the assaying laboratory.
  • Confirmation of how the material was stored and handled between delivery and assay.

What is not covered

Degradation caused by storage outside the conditions published on the product page — a peptide held at room temperature for a month, or a reconstituted solution assayed after its stated working window, is measuring handling rather than release quality.

Results obtained by a method materially unsuited to the compound. Assaying a two-residue bioregulator on a standard C18 peptide gradient without ion pairing will return a meaningless figure, and we will say so rather than pay a claim on it.

Claims raised more than 90 days after delivery, or without the supporting evidence listed above.

How a claim is resolved

Send the evidence to support@avynresearch.com with your order number. We review it against the retained sample and release data for that lot, and respond within ten business days.

Where the claim is upheld we refund or replace at your election and, if the discrepancy indicates a release problem rather than an isolated vial, we withdraw the remaining lot from sale and publish a note against its certificate.

Where we disagree with the result, we will explain why in method terms and, if the disagreement stands, we will pay for a third assay at a mutually agreed laboratory. That result is final for both parties.

Relationship to returns

A guarantee claim is not a return. Opened material is eligible, and the 30-day sealed-item rule in the Shipping & Returns policy does not apply. You do not need to ship the remaining material back unless we ask for it as part of the review.
