Shipping & Returns

Dispatch times

Orders placed before 2:00 pm Central on a business day are picked, packed and handed to the carrier the same day. Orders placed after that cut-off, at weekends, or on a US federal holiday leave on the next business day.

You receive a tracking number as soon as the shipping label is created. A created label is not the same as a collected parcel — carrier scans typically appear within a few hours of the daily collection.

Domestic shipping tiers

• Standard, 2–4 business days in transit. Flat $12, or free on orders of $200 or more.
• Expedited, 1–2 business days in transit. Quoted at checkout by weight and destination.
• Overnight, next business day where the carrier offers the service. Quoted at checkout. Orders must be placed before the 2:00 pm Central cut-off to ship the same day.

Packing and transit conditions

Lyophilized material is stable in ambient transit and is shipped without a cold chain. Vials travel in moulded protective inserts inside a rigid outer carton. Light-sensitive compounds ship in amber-sleeved packaging, and that is noted on the product page.

Where a compound requires refrigerated shipping, the product page states it and the cost is calculated at checkout. No compound currently in the catalogue requires frozen transit.

Cartons are labelled as laboratory research chemicals. We do not mislabel, under-declare, or omit contents from shipping documentation for any reason.

Shipment protection

Every order is covered against loss, theft and carrier damage in transit at no extra cost. If a parcel is confirmed lost, arrives damaged, or is marked delivered but did not arrive, contact support with the order number and we will replace or refund it.

Claims should be raised within 14 days of the last carrier scan. Damage claims are helped considerably by photographs of the outer carton and the affected vials before disposal.

International orders

We currently ship to eighteen countries on a tracked service. Delivery times vary by destination and customs processing, typically 5–14 business days.

The buyer is the importer of record. You are responsible for confirming that a compound may lawfully be imported into your jurisdiction before ordering, and for any duties, taxes, brokerage or import charges assessed on arrival. These charges are not included in the order total and are not refundable by AVYN.

If a shipment is seized, refused or returned by customs, AVYN cannot refund the item cost or shipping. We are not able to advise on the import rules of another country.

Returns

Unopened, sealed items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. Contact support before shipping anything back — returns received without a return authorisation cannot be matched to an order.

Once a vial seal, capsule bottle induction seal or solution closure has been broken, the material cannot be verified as uncontaminated and is not returnable. This is standard practice for research chemicals and applies regardless of how much of the material has been used.

Return shipping is paid by the buyer unless the return is the result of our error or a damaged shipment. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days of the return being received and inspected.

Non-returnable items

• Any item with a broken seal or evidence of use.
• Diluents and solutions once punctured or opened.
• Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
• Items damaged by storage conditions outside those stated on the product page.

Purity claims

A lot that fails an independent assay is handled under the Purity Guarantee rather than this returns policy, and is not subject to the sealed-item rule. See the Purity Guarantee page for the evidence required and the resolution process.
