Research description
This is a 29-amino acid synthetic GHRH analogue research reagent — formally designated Modified GRF (1-29) and also known as CJC-1295 Without DAC — engineered for laboratory investigation of pulsatile growth hormone axis signalling, hypothalamic-pituitary feedback dynamics, and somatotroph receptor pharmacology.
Four targeted amino acid substitutions (D-Ala at position 2, Gln at position 8, Ala at position 15, and Leu at position 27) confer resistance to dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) enzymatic cleavage, extending functional stability relative to native GHRH while preserving high-affinity GHRH receptor selectivity.
Unlike the albumin-conjugated DAC-modified variant, this formulation lacks the Drug Affinity Complex, resulting in a short systemic half-life of approximately 30 minutes — a pharmacokinetic characteristic that makes it the reagent of choice for research models designed to study discrete, physiologically relevant pulsatile GH release patterns.
